Born with a natural aptitude in leadership, Chicago burlesque performer Red Hot Annie
knew from a young age that she wanted to make an positive impact on the world.
Groomed from a young age to become a lawyer, this Chicago burlesque performer's passion for
theatre performance started at the age of 15, when she was invited to sing in the chorus of
a church play. With a mere 30 seconds of stage time, the theatre bug bit hard, totally
changing the trajectory of her life.
The ambitious child of a long line of entrepreneurs - many endowed with the gift of visual
artistry, organization, and spacial intelligence - it should have been no surprise that Annie
started her first company by the age of 21.
When the opportunity to perform burlesque arrived , Red Hot Annie had very little dance experience to speak of - in her
own words, she started dancing burlesque with "two left feet," just a decade of theatre experience,
plus visual arts training and education that pointed her body towards making lines and controlling
extraneous movement noise.
Over the course of time, experience, and on-going personal dance education, Red Hot Annie has become
one of the most sought-after modern Chicago burlesque dancers - bringing a incredibly rare blend of
care-free charisma, clean movement and character, and ultra-refined aesthetics.
At her own Chicago burlesque classes (hosted at Vaudezilla Studios),
she teaches self-love, finding a voice, and taking up space through the art of burlesque dancing.
