Others arrive because they want to reconnect with themselves.
Many simply want to try something new.
No dance experience is required.

What We Actually Practice
Burlesque is often misunderstood.
While movement is part of the experience, the deeper work involves learning how to be seen without shrinking.
Classes may include:

- walking with intention
- musicality
- stage presence
- expression and storytelling
- confidence exercises
- beginner choreography
- improvisation and play
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is presence.
Meet Red Hot Annie
For more than two decades, I’ve worked as a performer, producer, director, and teacher within Chicago’s burlesque community.
I’ve taught hundreds of students ranging from complete beginners to working performers.
My approach blends performance training, confidence development, creative exploration, and practical stagecraft.
Students often tell me they leave class feeling more grounded, more expressive, and more comfortable in their own skin.
What Students Say
“I had heard how great the experience would be, but my expectations were exceeded. Red Hot Annie made everyone feel uniquely recognized and more confident. There was zero judgment from anyone in the room, and I left every class feeling excited to come back.”
— Devon B.
“I was nervous before my first class, but everyone quickly felt comfortable. The atmosphere was supportive, welcoming, and genuinely fun. What surprised me most was how confident I felt by the end.”
— Megan G.
